![]() A Word from Dr. KellyDear Parents and Friends and Alumni of St. Petronille School:
One of the readings for December 14 is from Isaiah 48:17.
Today I had a visit from one of our 1998 graduates. Her name is Jennifer Joyce and she came back to say hello, share news about what she has been doing and to tell me about her next journey. Jennifer is a graduate of Marquettte University. She has a double major in Exercise Science and Spanish. Our St. Petronille School family is very proud of her and her achievements. And her future plans continue to tell the story about what this young woman has learned over the years…the importance of service to others and the wonder of the Lord’s ability to “Lead us on the way we should go.”
On January 7, 2008 Jennifer leaves for Cajon Arriba in Costa Rica as part of
While Jennifer has raised a portion of the $5000.00 necessary to support her for one year, she still is in need of additional financial support in order to finance her trip. She must pay for it all by herself. There is mention of a small stipend each month….very small….but it is not a guarantee. Would you join me in showing Jennifer that you can always come home and that your parish and elementary school family will always welcome you back, celebrate your successes and support you in your efforts.
If you are able to spare even a few dollars to help Jennifer, please make your check (tax deductible) payable to WorldTeach and mail it to Jennifer Joyce; 467 Hillside, Glen Ellyn, IL 60137. If you have additional questions please call Jennifer at 630-776-1374.
In this season of Advent it seems appropriate to:
“Do Justly, Love Mercy and Walk Humbly with God” (Micah 6:8)
May the Lord bless you and your family at this most holy time of the year.
May 2008 be a year of blessings for those you love and for those that love you.
With Love and Devotion and many thanks for all you do for so many.
Dr. Mary Kelly
