Auction 2009 – Rock the Block Auction

Many of you may be wondering what all this rockin’ is about! Being part of the St. Pet’s Family is a huge blessing…but can also be a bit confusing at times! So whether this is your first year with us, or even if you just need a refresher on this auction thing, this note is for YOU!!

Each year, the Parent Organization holds an amazing fundraiser for our kids and our school. The Auction is our opportunity to say “YES” to the things that set St. Pets apart. Yes to enhanced curriculum, yes to advanced technology, yes to a thriving Athletics program and yes to a textbook rotation that keeps our kids current, to name just a few!

The Auction will be held Saturday March 7, 2009, in the Parish Life Center here at St. Petronille. Our theme is “Rock the Block” and we are getting back to basics. It’s all about the kids and using our resources - money, materials, and people- in fiscally responsible and environmentally friendly ways. The Michael Heaton Band will be rocking us through the night! If you haven’t heard them before, you are in for an awesome night of entertainment.

Many things go on at this event: bidding and/or purchasing of classroom scrapbooks and gifts; silent and live auctions; and raffles for cash, tuition, and class baskets. All that along with food, fun, and friends!

The success of the auction is dependent on family and community support so how can you help?

Attend! It’s a blast & a great way to meet other school families/catch up with friends!

Volunteer! There are still opportunities to help out, before, during, or after the event!

Donate! Please see attached for family pledge cards. Group donations are an awesome way to get creative and work with your friends to create experiences or outings that will surely lead to lasting memories! Of course, individual or monetary donations are always welcome!
