We will be staging the musical JOSEPH this spring. The workshop for the students to learn some of the songs and dances will be Friday, October 3rd from 3:30-6:00 in Colonial Hall.
-
Auditions will be Saturday, October 18. There will be AM and afternoon auditions. So, SAVE THE DATE. Only students in grades 3-8 will be eligible to audition. And this year, students will need the recommendation of one teacher. It is a privilege to be in the school musical, not a right. It is very important that students understand that it is a huge commitment… and homework still comes first. And, as always, respect, cooperation and good behavior are a must.

Just a reminder. Please review with your children that they must be prepared to be disappointed if they are not cast. Joseph has a smaller cast than our previous musicals.
-
Also, please discuss with them the need to realize that they must make an informed decision about where their priorities are. They will need to choose between some other activities. Help them make sound choices so that they don’t over book themselves (or you either).
-
It looks like the pool is finally going to be ready. Have students bring gym and swim clothes on the appropriate day. It might take a few days to get in the routine. We’ll be patient.

We will be having a “last minute” service project on Friday, September 19 and Monday, September 22. We are asking students to bring one large white bath towel. A homeless shelter in Joliet is in desperate need of bath towels for their guests. They only have hand towels left. Please see Edline for the student created flyer. Would there be a mom or two who would be willing to take the towels to Joliet on Monday after school? Give Dr. Kelly a call. Our theme this year is service and our students and teachers are certainly keeping “Service to Others” at the forefront of their thoughts. Thanks for reinforcing this with them. God Bless you all.
Love Dr. Kelly.
