Band for Today
Beginning in the fall, band instruction is available at St. Pets for 4th through 8th graders through the Band For Today program in Naperville, IL.
Piano:
Tuesday mornings 8:00-8:30am

Beginning Band:
1/2 hour group lessons during the school day.
Intermediate Band:
Thursday and Friday 1/2 hour lesson during the school day.
Advanced Band:
Monday and Wednesday from 7:50 - 8:35 AM.

8th Grade Choir:
This elective class is open to all 7th and 8th grade students who wish to meet three times a week during their lunch period. These students either sing or play a musical instrument for the many school masses and school prayer services. Mr. Coyle encourages each and every student to give it a try. There are no auditions, but students must commit to giving up their lunch/recess period. Student are able to bring their lunch to class.
Science Olympiad
Science Olympiad is an international nonprofit organization devoted to improving the quality of science education, increasing student interest in science and providing recognition for outstanding achievement in science education by both students and teachers. These goals are accomplished through classroom activities, research, training workshops and the encouragement of intramural, district, regional, state and national tournaments. Competitions are held in March.

Enrichment Clubs
Thanks to the St. Petronille Parent Organization and a group of very talented and enthusiastic teachers, Enrichment Clubs are offered to students in grades 3-8. These teacher sponsored clubs are designed to enhance the school curriculum, meet the needs of students who are not athletically inclined as well as those who are, and to provide a well-rounded educational and social experience for our students. The clubs provide an avenue of enrichment coupled with fun for both the student and the teacher.
Enrichment Clubs are held once a week after school from 3:30-5:00 for a period of ten weeks beginning the third quarter. Contact Mrs. Head at Ext. 3202 for more information.
