Expectations For A Great Year!

5th and 6th Grade

 

  • Come prepared to give your best effort each day in your classes
    • Have I recorded all my assignments?
    • Have I completed all my assignments?
    • If I am unsure of an assignment, have I asked for help?
    • Have I reviewed notes from prior lessons?
  • Treat everyone in school with the respect you would want to receive
  • Do I greet the teachers in the morning?
  • Do I help others out between classes?
  • Am I proud of my lunchroom behavior?
  • Do I include all my classmates in playground games?
  • Am I respectful of my teachers and classmates while they are talking?
  • Good, quality work is a top priority
  • Have I taken time to think through my assignments?
  • Have I used penmanship paper and the correct heading?
  • Have I written in cursive?
  • Have I checked my work?
  • Am I proud of my work?

If you follow these expectations and make them part of your daily routine, you will have a successful school year.

Classroom Rules

5th and 6th Grade

  • Homework and paper headings

First and last name                                            Date (month/day/year)

Subject (no abbreviations)                    Assignment title

  • Penmanship and neatness
  • Spiral paper should not be used
  • Papers should not be folded, torn or wrinkled
  • Always use penmanship paper and cursive writing
  • Late Work
    • Work is due at the beginning of class
    • One day late = 80%
    • Two days late = 50%
  • Supplies
    • Be sure to replace supplies when needed
    • Supplies should be labeled with your name and room number
