Teacher Policies

First Graders have a snack period each day. Please send your child with a healthy snack such as granola bars, fruit, popcorn, pretzels, etc.

First graders have homework several times a week.  Assignments are to be returned the next day.

In first grade we are trying to teach the students to be responsible!  Therefore, if a student forgets to bring any necessary items (lunch, homework, swim or P.E. clothing), he/she will not be able to call home.

First Graders are to present a note to their teacher upon returning from an absence.  Please include the date and the reason for missing school.

We emphasize to the parents that they must put their child’s name on EVERYTHING—shirts, shorts, uniforms, swimsuits, towels, backpacks, gym bags, and yes, even their shoes!!!
