Teacher policy:

Music Room Code of Conduct
-I will come to class with my recorder and music (grades 3 and up)
-I will participate fully in music and classroom activities.
-I will treat others with respect
-I will treat property with respect (instruments, both personal and classroom, sheet music etc.)

 

Curriculum:

All students attend Music class. Kindergarten attends every other week. Seventh and Eighth grades alternate with Art and Music resulting in half the school year spent in each subject. First through fifth grades have music twice a week and sixth grade attends music class once a week.

 

My music students learn the fundamentals of music theory and appreciation, prepare for full participation in school Mass and liturgical celebrations throughout the year, learn to play recorder as well as other classroom instruments and participate in the learning and performance of liturgical and secular songs.
