My policies are consistent with those of the homeroom teachers to whose classrooms I travel to teach Spanish.
Homework is not generally graded, since students need an arena in which to practice particularly the written aspects of a new language. While homework is expected to be 100 complete, it is not necessarily expected to be 100% correct.
Euro Program: This is an incentive program in which students are able to earn coupons redeemable for bonus points on graded assignments. “Euros” are awarded to students whose effort in using Spanish goes beyond the basic expectation inside (or outside) of Spanish class.

- Classroom policy and procedures
- Academic Honesty Policy: Cheating is not tolerated and if you chose to cheat, you will receive a zero on that assignment and a discipline slip will be issued. Cheating includes giving or receiving help on a test or quiz, or copying or allowing someone to copy homework or other assignments.
- Student will get two days notice before a test and one-day notice before a quiz.
- Extra Credit: There will be no extra credit given to individual students. If extra credit is given, all students will have the option to participate.
- Homework policy
- Homework is assigned occasionally.
- If it is turned in late, it will receive partial credit.
- Attendance/ Absences
- If you are absent it is your responsibility to complete assignments during your absence. For every day that you are absent you will have a day to complete the work.
- Please make an appointment to see me if absence is due to illness.
- Teacher availability:
- I am available after school on most days and some mornings. Please check before class if you need to stay for help. Do not come in the morning without an appointment.
