Student Service

A key pillar of our mission at St. Petronille School is to encourage service to others in our local or global community. Our students learn how to serve through classroom instruction, through the example of parents, teachers, parish staff, and through projects initiated during the school year. Often, our projects focus on areas of service where we can make a significant and immediate impact.

Our school routinely serves the following organizations and programs:
  • Glen Ellyn Food Pantry
  • Feed My Starving Children
  • Glen Ellyn Park District
  • Adopt-A-Family for Christmas
  • P.A.D.S (local homeless shelter and support organization)

Recent projects outside our community supported by our students included relief efforts for:
  • The Haiti earthquake
  • Hurricane Sandy
  • Midwest Tornadoes

Many of our projects are initiated, organized and run by our students with guidance from our teachers and staff.  We often guide our students toward service projects that allow them to sue their talents and enthusiasm.
