Tuition Assistance

It is our hope that every child that wants to receive the benefits of a Catholic education gets to, regardless of financial means.

Here at ST. Petronille, we offer tuition assistance through three programs; the Empower Illinois, L.I.F.E. Fund and the Catholic Education Foundation. If your family is struggling and you believe that you might need tuition assistance during the 2021-22 school year, please review the options below.

Empower Illinios

A tax credit scholarship offered to families who qualify based on financial income.  Families who would like to be considered for a tuition grant are invited to visit the Empower Illinois website student section at Empower Illinios. Registration for each upcoming school year opens on the second Wednesday in January at 6:30pm. Scholarships are awarded based on order of registration so it is important to register on the “OPEN” date.   

LIFE Fund

Lifetime Investment in Faith and Education (LIFE) is an endowment program providing tuition support for students in our school. Families who would like to be considered for a tuition grant are invited to apply through the FACTS Grant & Aid Application at online.factsmgt.com/aid. Contributions to LIFE give the gift of Catholic education to families in need.    

Catholic Education Foundation (CEF) Grant

JCA families may apply for aid directly from the Joliet Diocese by completing the FACTS application.  The Diocese currently awards $1,000 per student based on financial need. Applications must be completed each year between Jan 1 and Mar 1.

Tuition Grants for Transfer Students

We are proud to be able to offer $1,500 in tuition assistance to eligible students who transfer from a public school, non-Catholic private school, home school or charter school in grades 1-7. Tuition grants of $1,000 in year one and $500 in year two are available. Applications must be completed yearly at online.factsmgt.com/aid.
